| Macca Food Basmati Rice is a variety of long grain rice, famous for its fragrance and delicate flavour. As It is called "Queen of Fragrance" for its high aroma, it is the best variety of rice throughout the world.
Basmati rice has been cultivated in Pakistan for hundreds of years. The Himalayan foothills are said to produce the best basmati, with the five rivers bringing in waters which are full of minerals and indgredients best for cultivation of rice, this natural phenomenon makes this area for Rice cultivation most suitable compared to anywhere else in the world, therefore the rice that you get is the best in the world.
Although all Basmati Varieties of Macca Food are fragrant rice of highest quality, but The Super kernel Basmati, a premium variety from Macca Food, are the most prized of the basmati varieties. These best types of basmati rice are aged for several years before they are milled and sold, these rice cooks best since they have a lower moisture content.
The grains of Super kernel basmati rice are much longer than they are wide, and they grow even longer as they cook. They stay firm and separate, not sticky, after cooking. Macca Food Super kernel Basmati rice is available both as a white rice and a brown rice. Both of these cook in about 20 minutes. Soaking it for half an hour to two hours before cooking makes the grains less likely to break during cooking. |
Glycemic index:
Macca Food Basmati rice is also more suitable for diabetics due to its distinct Glycemic index (GI*) which is between 56 and 69 compared to other grains and products made from white flour.
